Ezz’s Appeal Rejected

Egypt’s top appeals court rejected an appeal by businessman Ahmed Ezz against his conviction and sentencing for irregularities in awarding steel licenses to Ezz Steel (ESRS), the state-run Middle East News Agency reported.

The court refused to schedule an expedited hearing for Ezz’s appeal, MENA said today. The businessman had been sentenced to 10 years in prison in September.
