Egypt denies ‘groundless’ reports on resuming flights by mid-May
Egypt on Friday denied plans to resume flights on May 16, according to the country’s civil aviation ministry statement.
Reports about resuming flights are “groundless”, the ministry said, adding that the decision to halt air traffic is “changed.”
Egypt decided to halt all air traffic at its airports on March 16 for two weeks and later extended the decision in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
“Any further decision if taken otherwise will be announced in an official statement.” the ministry said.
