Egypt disburses over EGP 4b to 4.7m families under Takaful and Karama in Nov

Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity announced on Saturday that cash support under the Takaful and Karama programme for November is being disbursed to 4.7 million families, with a total value exceeding 4 billion Egyptian pounds.

Beneficiaries began receiving payments early Saturday through ATMs of banks across the country. Electronic payment options are also available for government transactions and purchases.

The ministry is closely monitoring the disbursement process and coordinating with governors and directors of social solidarity directorates to ensure smooth operations.

The programme provides cash support to 4.7 million priority families, covering nearly 18 million citizens, with an annual budget of 54 billion pounds following the permanent 25 per cent increase implemented since April.
