Egypt’s Justice Minister Adnan Fangary met with World Bank officials in the New Administrative Capital to review previous cooperation and discuss expanding joint work on judicial reforms, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Fangary highlighted the Bank’s role in providing technical, logistical and digital support to courts and justice institutions in Egypt, contributing to new economic legislation and training legal staff.
Sandeep Mahajan, World Bank’s Regional Practice Director for MENA, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, praised past collaboration and voiced his commitment to supporting Egypt’s digital justice agenda, saying he was proud to be part of the team advancing the initiative.
The meeting was also attended by Stephane Guimbert, World Bank’s Country Director for Egypt, Yemen, and Djibouti, along with senior justice ministry officials.
