Egypt establishes new water company for the New Administrative Capital
Egypt’s Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company signed a preliminary contract with DWI Deutsche Wasser International GmbH to establish a new company, the Administrative Capital Water Company.
The new joint-stock company will manage, operate, and maintain the smart water system, sewage networks, and irrigation water systems using treated wastewater within the New Administrative Capital.
Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development, stated that the company would deliver comprehensive services, including water purification, treatment, and distribution, along with sewage collection, irrigation water distribution, and water sales. The company will also operate and maintain sewage and industrial wastewater treatment plants.
Additionally, the company will manage the operation of water desalination and treatment plants, distribution networks, and transmission lines, ensuring compliance with technical and scientific standards. The headquarters will be located in the government district of the New Administrative Capital.
