Egypt establishing Al Amiria Printing’s HQ in new capital – minister
Egypt is in process to establish a new headquarter of the Egyptian General Organisation for Government Printing Offices – Al Amiria Printing House in the country’s New Administrative Capital, Trade Minister said.
This comes as part of Trade Ministry’s plan to keep up with the latest technology and enhance the ministry’s role in raising the level of national security in Egypt, Amr Nassar further added.
Nassar made these remarks on behalf of Ahmed Taha, executive director of the Industrial Modernization Centre (IMC), during the annual celebration of Al Amiria Printing.
Established in 1820, the state-owned Al Amiria Printing is also known as Boulaq Printing Press. It used to produce military books and publications for the Army in the era of Mohamed Ali Basha.
After the revolution in 1952, a republican decree No. 312 for 1956 was issued to establish the General Organisation for Government Printing Offices to be an affiliate of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
