Egypt expands Orange Corners to 7 governorates

Egypt is expanding the Orange Corners Egypt programme to support startups, extending its reach to seven governorates in the Delta alongside Upper Egypt. Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat announced the expansion, which will bring the programme to Luxor, Assiut, Alexandria, Monufia, Dakahlia, Kafr El-Sheikh, and Beheira.

Minister Al-Mashat stated that the expansion aligns with efforts to strengthen the startup ecosystem through international collaboration. A total of 15 startups recently graduated from the programme, which is expected to support 130 companies across various sectors this year.

Notably, the programme results from a partnership between Egypt and the Netherlands with private sector institutions such as AlexBank and Madinet Masr. It aims to provide entrepreneurs with the necessary tools, resources, and networks to develop their businesses and drive economic growth.
