Egypt exported 200,000 tons of food products in the week ending July 25, 2025, with potatoes and grapes topping the list of outbound shipments, the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) reported on Sunday.
A total of 3,000 consignments were exported by 1,115 companies, covering 660 categories of vegetables, fruits, flour, and processed food items, according to the report.
Vegetable exports hit 30,000 tons, with potatoes leading the way with 10,000 tons, followed by various beans at 6,000 tons and frozen mixed vegetables at 5,000 tons.
Fruit exports totalled 21,000 tons across 27 varieties, with strawberries leading at 8,000 tons, followed by citrus fruits at 5,000 tons and grapes at 4,000 tons, as stated in the release.
Spain, Lebanon, the Sudan, and Canada were among the top destinations for Egyptian food exports, which reached a total of 171 importing countries during the week.
