Egypt eyes expanded human capital investment

Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Rania Al-Mashat held on Tuesday discussions with Rasha Ragheb, Executive Director of the National Training Academy, focusing on enhancing efforts to invest in human capital and strengthening joint cooperation.

Minister Al-Mashat emphasised the critical role of human capital as a sustainable investment in shaping the country’s future. She highlighted that Egypt’s young population, which comprises 60 per cent of the total population, is one of the nation’s greatest assets and a driving force for its development.

The Ministry of Planning remains committed to supporting the Academy’s initiatives through various tools and mechanisms that facilitate the training and development of human capital, she added.

During the meeting, the Academy team presented several key programmes backed by the Ministry. Among them is the Professional Civil Servant Initiative, which has successfully trained 6,713 graduates to enhance the quality of public service. Another notable programme is the African Presidential Leadership, which has trained 279 participants from 50 African nations, aligning with Egypt’s ongoing efforts to promote regional development and peace.
