Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi has held talks in Abu Dhabi with Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber — UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director & CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) — and Nasser Al Yafei, CEO of Arqius Energy, to discuss expanding cooperation in the oil and gas sector through strategic joint projects.
Badawi underscored Egypt’s desire to deepen its partnership with the UAE by launching long-term ventures in the hydrocarbons industry, highlighting the political leadership’s commitment to supporting investors and ensuring a transparent and flexible business environment.
Al Jaber reiterated the UAE’s ongoing interest in increasing investments in Egypt’s energy sector, describing the country as a key strategic partner.
Al Yafei praised the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ efforts in safeguarding Egypt’s energy supplies, adding that discussions were constructive and could pave the way for greater cooperation, particularly amid emerging opportunities in the Mediterranean for undeveloped discoveries and fresh exploration blocks.
