Egypt eyes tire manufacturing expansion with CNRC

Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, met with the Chairman of Prometeon Tyre Egypt, Omar Mohanna, and a Chinese delegation led by the Chairman of CNRC/Prometeon, to discuss expanding investments in tire manufacturing and exports, according to the Egyptian Cabinet.

El-Khatib underscored the benefits of localising production, which reduces logistics and operational costs while strengthening Egypt’s industrial base. He emphasised the government’s ongoing efforts to simplify tax systems, lower fees, and streamline regulations to attract more foreign investors.

The minister highlighted Egypt’s competitive edge as a business hub, reinforced by incentives for local and international companies, aiming to position the country as a leading destination for industrial investment.
