Egyptian Minister of Trade Tarek Qabil and Finland’s Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Kai Mykkänen will inaugurate on Tuesday the Egyptian Finnish Forum in Cairo.
Minister Mykkänen has started his four-day official visit to Egypt, for the first time on Monday, heading a trade delegation involving 40 investors and speciliased authorities, who are keen to look into the investment opportunities in the North African country.
The forum will be organised by the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), geared to showcase the available investment opportunities in Egypt, FEDCOC’s head Ahmed El-Wakeel said on Monday.
During the forum, the Finnish companies will have one-on-one meetings with Egyptian counterparts operating in sectors of information technology, communications, education, technical and vocational training, agriculture, irrigation, water, waste water, electricity, fertilisers, and mining.
The delegation will also visit Egyptian ministers of planning, housing, international cooperation, and communications, alongside head of Suez Canal Authority, El-Wakeel added.
