Egypt first country to receive Uber’s intercity bus service in
Uber announced the launch of its first ever intercity bus service in Egypt with roundtrip routes between Cairo and Alexandria.
The most populous Arab nation is selected once again by the ride-hailing company for the debut launch of a new service globally, according to a statement on Sunday.
“Egypt is an innovation hub and a fantastic environment for testing new products,” Ahmed Khalil, general manager of Uber Egypt, noted.
“By leveraging Uber’s technology, the new intercity service will introduce a convenient setting to move users between governorates,” Khalil added.
The bus intercity service operates seven days a week with eight journeys per day
