Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting on Tuesday to review the latest developments in the Ras El-Hekma development project in Egypt’s North Coast, Matrouh Governorate.
Madbouly stressed the government’s commitment to the project’s success. He highlighted its role in attracting investment, boosting tourism, creating jobs, and adding value to the Egyptian economy.
The meeting reviewed progress in the “Shams El Hikma” area, designated for alternative housing. Discussions covered infrastructure development, including water, sewage, and road networks. Officials confirmed that implementation has reached advanced stages.
The meeting also addressed the resettlement progress of the first phase in Shams El Hikma. It reviewed the steps taken to allow eligible residents to formalise land ownership and obtain building permits. The discussion included compensation payments exceeding EGP 6 billion.
