Gold prices today in Egypt slightly rose by around 1.02 Egyptian pounds ($0.064) per gram.
According to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad on Wednesday, the price of 21-carat gold, the most popular in the local market, traded at around 693.22 pounds, while 18-carat gold neared 594.18 pounds.
The rise in local market was buoyed by an increase in the prices of the yellow metal by around $6 to $1,552 per ounce.
