Egypt govt sets wheat reference prices for 24/25 season

The Egyptian Cabinet approved on Wednesday a reference price for wheat cultivation in the 2024/2025 harvest season.

The agreed-upon price is EGP 2,200 per ardeb (equivalent to 150 kg) for wheat of 23.5 quality, EGP 2,150 for 23 quality, and EGP 2,100 for 22 quality. The decision was reached after consultation among the Ministries of Agriculture, Finance, and Supply.
