Egypt grants EGP 400K per El-Mahalla fire victim

Families of those killed in a factory fire in the industrial city of El-Mahalla El-Kubra will receive 400,000 Egyptian pounds ($8,275) in compensation, Egypt’s Cabinet said on Saturday.

Labour Minister Mohamed Gobran and Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsy said the two ministries would also fast-track financial aid for the injured, with payouts determined by medical assessments.
