Egypt, Greece probe boosting economic ties
Egypt and Greece intend on boosting their economic ties, said a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry on Tuesday.
This came after a meeting between the Egyptian minister Ahmed Samir and the Greek Ambassador to Cairo Nikolaos Papageorgiou.
The officials discussed possibilities of strengthening intraregional trade and joint investments.
Samir also said that Greece is ranked 11th direct investor in Egypt among the European Union (EU) countries.
The Greek investments reached $255 million into 215 projects, he added.
Trade exchange between both countries climbed by 4.7 percent year on year (YoY) in 2022 to reach $2.2 billion.
