Egypt’s Ministry of Health said it received received a high-level delegation from the health ministries of Libya, Algeria, and Mauritania, in cooperation with the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
The visit, running until Sept. 4, includes tours of primary healthcare facilities in Cairo to share expertise among African countries. The delegation visited the El-Hanager Medical Centre in New Cairo.
Officials praised the centre’s integrated services, highlighting the Balanced Scorecard system for performance monitoring and the efficiency of digital transformation aligned with international standards.
The visit underscores African institutions’ confidence in Egypt’s primary healthcare model and the ministry’s commitment to a holistic approach focused on digital transformation, service quality, and workforce development.
Egypt is expanding healthcare infrastructure, improving service provider efficiency, and broadening coverage to include physical, psychological, and social care, with patient satisfaction as a central priority.
