Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Sherif El-Sherbiny, reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects, including water, sewage, and roadworks in New Beni Suef City’s expansion areas, as per a Cabinet statement on Tuesday.
Chairman of the New Beni Suef Development Authority, Ahmed Abdel Gaber, stated that infrastructure works are underway in the city’s extension area, covering residential neighbourhoods for one billion Egyptian pounds.
This marks 85 per cent completion across most neighbourhoods, covering 8,354 plots of luxurious and social housing. Utilities are also nearing completion in two areas of the 13th district, with 450 plots already delivered.
Abdel Gaber announced the construction of 6 residential buildings with 144 units of various sizes under the presidential initiative Housing for All Egyptians – Medium Housing, and 84 buildings under Housing for All Egyptians – low-income axis.
He also said that plans are in place to develop unique housing unit projects in the city, with around 76 plots of land designated for different purposes such as schools, universities, commercial, administrative, and industrial activities.
