Egypt in Davos ’25: Mashat explores paths to joint development with IDB

Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, met with President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Ilan Goldfajn, to discuss opportunities for collaboration and challenges facing emerging economies and developing countries.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos and highlighted the importance of expanding climate action efforts to drive the green transition and promote eco-friendly economic development.

Both parties emphasised the role of national platforms in fostering climate initiatives and attracting green investments, which are crucial for advancing sustainable development goals.
