Works in Nahda city’s housing project are currently proceeding, the project includes 5.000 housing units for low-income citizens and slums residents, said Galal El-Said, Cairo governor, on Tuesday.
Cairo governorate has resumed works on a housing project in Nahda City, which includes over 5,000 housing units in favour of low-income citizens and residents of slums.
The project is being carried out on a space of 51 feddans, with total cost of 600 million Egyptian pounds (US$76.6 million), Galal El-Said, Cairo governor, on Tuesday.
El-Said added that the implementation works encompass utilising the project and paving the roads.
It is one of the most important mega housing projects dedicated for the residents of informal settlements and unsafe slums, the governor said.
The governorate has already started developing Sayeda Zainab-based Tal al-Aqareb district; the project includes establishment of 650 housing units with total cost of 800 million pounds. It will be completed within the next few months, he added.
