Egypt is seeking to have its companies registered with Kuwait’s Central Agency for Public Tenders to allow them to compete for projects under Kuwait’s national development plan, Trade and Industry Minister Kamel El-Wazir said on Tuesday.
In talks with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister El-Wazir highlighted Egyptian firms’ competitiveness in infrastructure and economic projects, citing their pricing and technical capabilities.
Minister El-Wazir also emphasised Egypt’s push for private sector involvement in development, in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
