Egypt in talks with Airbus over aerospace R&D centre

Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat, met with Executive Vice President International at Airbus Wouter Van Wersch to discuss the establishment of a research and development (R&D) centre for the aerospace company in Egypt, the Egyptian Cabinet reported on Tuesday.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the AI Action Summit in Paris, held from 10 to 11 February, and focused on Egypt’s outsourcing industry and its rapid growth, driven by government efforts to create an attractive investment environment.

Talaat highlighted incentives and facilities offered under Egypt’s digital strategy to encourage global companies to establish outsourcing hubs in the country.
