Egypt’s Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Shimi held a meeting with a delegation from Qatar’s Power International Holding to discuss potential partnerships and investment opportunities across a range of sectors.
Shimei emphasised the ministry’s integrated strategy to maximise returns from the assets of its affiliated companies through efficient management, fresh investments, and strategic partnerships with major regional and international firms. He stressed that the private sector remains a key partner in driving sustainable economic development.
Representatives from Power International Holding presented the group’s broad investment portfolio, which spans energy, construction, industry and services, telecommunications, agriculture and food industries, real estate development, hospitality, entertainment, and food services.
The delegation expressed keen interest in expanding their presence in Egypt and partnering in several sectors under the ministry’s purview, including metallurgy, fertilisers, real estate development, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and hospitality.
