Egypt industry: Govt. to crack down on land speculators

Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Transport, Kamel El-Wazir announced on Sunday the government’s plans to take stringent measures against land speculators, who violate land use regulations.

Under the new procedures, land that is misused or left undeveloped beyond a specified grace period will be reclaimed and reassigned to investors committed to productive development.
