The Egyptian Holding Company for Airport and Air Navigation, and EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering Co. signed several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with major British firms, per a Cabinet statement.
The agreements focused on infrastructure, aircraft maintenance, technical support, and other aviation-related services, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and improve passenger services at Egyptian airports and onboard flights.
The MoUs were signed during Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny’s official visit to London, where he met with top executives from British and international firms at the Egyptian Embassy in London.
The minister also met with representatives from Safran UK, Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, TAV Airports, and Lagan Aviation & Infrastructure to discuss upgrading services, aircraft tyre manufacturing, and airport infrastructure.
El-Hefny emphasised the ministry’s dedication to collaborating with global companies to improve Egyptian airport infrastructure and promote environmental sustainability in aviation, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
He emphasised that private sector participation in airport management and operations remains a strategic priority for the ministry, aligning with the state’s broader objectives, according to the statement.
