Egypt invites bidders for exploration in Med., Nile Delta

The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) is preparing to initiate a new international bidding round in 2024 for natural gas and crude oil exploration across 12 blocks in the Mediterranean and Nile Delta. This bid encompasses 10 offshore blocks and 2 onshore blocks.

The bid is part of the efforts of Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to attract new investments, and support its strategy for capitalising on promising opportunities in gas and oil exploration.

The minister confirmed that this is the eighth digitalised bid through the Egypt Upstream Gateway (EUG), which was introduced by the ministry at the beginning of 2021.

Notably, the gateway provides easy, quick, and convenient access to essential information and updated technical data related to the bids, facilitating faster investment opportunity assessments and bid submissions.
