Egypt issues first electronic building permit – Cabinet
Egypt’s Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny announced the issuance of the first fully electronic building permit from the New Cairo City Authority, aligning with the state’s vision for digital transformation, as per a Cabinet statement on Thursday.
Speaking about the development, El-Sherbiny stated that this initiative aligns with the state’s digital transformation strategy and aims to maximise the benefits of Egypt’s advanced infrastructure, particularly in communications.
He directed the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and city administrations to streamline services for citizens and investors, ensuring improved efficiency in new urban developments.
El-Sherbiny also highlighted that the electronic system for receiving building permit applications is a key component of the Ministry of Housing’s initiatives to carry out the state’s digital transformation strategy.
