Egypt, Kuwait charities sign $500K deal for Gaza aid

Egypt’s Dar Al-Orman Association and the Kuwaiti Relief Society signed on Sunday an executive contract worth $500,000 to prepare urgent aid and relief materials to Palestinians via the Rafah land crossing.

The aid includes food supplies, medical supplies, water containers, and blankets, Kuwait Relief Society’s representative Muhammad Al-Sharhan, said.

For his part, chairman of the board members at Dar Al-Orman Ahmed Elgindy said the association has a moral obligation to provide relief materials urgently for the benefit of the people of the Gaza Strip affected by the Zionist attacks.

This step comes in line with the high directives of the Kuwaiti political leadership to expand the circle of aid provided to the people of the Gaza Strip, diversify its methods and intensify its quantities, Al-Sharhan added.
