Egypt launches first regional entrepreneurship centre
Egypt’s Minister of Investment, Sahar Nasr, is set to lay the corner stone of the first regional entrepreneurship centre in the framework of Egypt Entrepreneurship Summit 2018.
The minister pointed out that the government’s priorities are to support entrepreneurs, especially those who provide new and innovative solutions to meet challenges facing the country in various sectors, stressing the importance of working to empower young people, support small-scale investors and create an integrated system to support entrepreneurs and innovation.
The centre will include several technological laboratories, advanced work units, joint work and innovation spaces, research and study groups, gyms, restrooms, meeting rooms, training rooms and a central square where various events will take place.
The Egypt Entrepreneurship Summit (EES) 2018 marks the fourth year of the EES. Since its inception in 2015, it has grown substantially in size and scope. The EES will be the highlight of Egypt’s Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) celebrations in 2018.
The summit is organised by the International Labor Organization (ILO), International Council for Small Business and Global Ecovillage Network.
This year’s EES will once again gather cutting-edge thinkers, practitioners, and policymakers, to review together the state of entrepreneurship in Egypt.
Experts from many fields, including but not limited to, SME leaders, corporations, academics, government officials and policy makers, entrepreneurs, youth, entrepreneurship supporting organizations such as incubators, accelerators and educational- and training institutions come together to discuss barriers and celebrate innovative successes.
