Egypt launches initiative to train 3,000 IT talents

Director of Egypt’s Military Academy, Ashraf Salem Zaher, on Tuesday received with Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat, to unveil a joint initiative aimed at training 2,000 to 3,000 young talents, particularly computer science graduates, in cutting-edge fields like telecommunications and information technology.

The programme will focus on advanced disciplines such as software development, artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, embedded systems, electronics, and digital arts.

Participants will have access to academic tracks including short diplomas, specialised diplomas, master’s degrees, and professional certifications. The initiative also incorporates cultural, sports, and personal development activities.

Talaat emphasised the programme’s integration of academic and practical training, its collaboration with leading global universities and companies, and its provision of full-time, residential training opportunities for participants from across the country. The initiative will be overseen by a joint committee from the ministry and the academy.
