Egypt lays foundation stone for 2 logistics-commercial zones in Kafr El-Sheikh
Egypt laid the foundation stones for two logistics and commercial zones in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate on Tuesday.
The foundation stones were laid by the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Ali Moselhy and the Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, Soha Gendi.
The zone will be established on an area of 22 acres and will include businesses like half-wholesale trade, packing and packaging, cold and freezing stores, entertainment, and social and educational activities.
Moselhy said that the logistical zone will include the establishment of commercial, administrative, and logistical businesses with an investment value of 5 billion to 6 billion Egyptian pounds.
He also said that the establishment of these two zones will reduce commodity trading circles and will also limit waste.
It will also reduce transportation costs, which account for around 15 percent of the final price of a product.
