Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday to supply the Deir Ammar power plant in Lebanon with natural gas for electricity generation.
Following the signing, Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum, Karim Badawi, said the agreement builds on the outcomes of the recent visit by Moustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, to Lebanon. He added that Egypt is fulfilling its role in supporting energy security across Arab countries, leveraging its advanced infrastructure in the production, trading, and export of natural gas.
