Egypt licenses top companies to boost call centre industry
Egyptian government granted on Saturday licences to seven leading companies to establish and operate call centres. This strategic move aims to solidify Egypt’s position as a global hub for digital services and outsourcing.
Awarded by the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), the licensed companies include Vodafone International Services, Raya Contact Centre, Telecom Egypt Information Systems (Xceed), Concentrix, Capgemini Egypt, Genpact Egypt, and TTEC Egypt.
Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat said the Egyptian government had been actively working to create a favourable environment for the call center industry. The recent approval of VoIP technologies and streamlined licensing procedures have further incentivised investment in this sector.
With this latest development, Egypt is poised to capitalise on the growing demand for outsourcing services and become a major player in the global digital economy.
