Egypt bourse has incurred losses of EGP 137 million during the midday session of Thursday driven by local selling pressures. Yet, the benchmark index surged to near 5530 pts on Thursday afternoon.

The Benchmark EGX30 edged up by 0.26% to 5529.94 p; while EGX20 rose by 0.51% to 6448.26 p.
On the other hand, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 went up by 0.37% to 477.1p. Price index EGX100 advanced by 0.41% to 798.07 p.
The capital market has hit EGP 371.779 billion on Thursday according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English at 12.44 p.m. Cairo time (10:44 GMT).
Trading Volumes & Values
The trading volume has recorded 58.727 million securities worth EGP 198.710 million, exchanged through 11.070 thousand transactions during Thursday midday.
Also during the midday session, 141 listed securities have been traded in; 43 fell, 68 advanced; while 30 keeping their previous levels.
Investors’ Activities
Egyptians remained going through profit-taking phase for they were net sellers seizing 90.66%, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 6.610 million excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners and Arab investors were net buyers as they seized 8.39% and 0.95% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 5.397 million and EGP 1.213 million respectively, excluding the deals.
