Russia is offering Egypt 24 of its latest product of civil aviation aircrafts, the Sukhoi Superjet 100, a medium-range aircraft that can accommodate up to 95 passengers, Russian industry minister said Tuesday.
According Russian Minister of Trade and Industry, Dennis Manturov, who is currently visiting Egypt, Moscow is keen to provide financial facilities to pay for the new aircrafts that Cairo may approve to buy.
Russia intends to supply Egypt with 12 Sukhoi Superjets 100 as the first phase, then Cairo can contract with the Russian government for the purchase of 12 more, the Russian minister noted.
Moreover, Manturov said if Egypt accepts the Russian offer, it can receive those aircrafts by the end of 2016.
