Egypt’s Minister of Public Business Sector, Mohamed Shimi, and Minister of Finance, Ahmed Kouchouk, held a meeting to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two ministries, as per a Cabinet statement on Tuesday.
The meeting aimed to improve cooperation between the ministries to address financial issues in public sector companies and the Ministry of Finance, as part of efforts to reform company financial structures and achieve financial sustainability.
The executive actions taken in this regard during the previous period were also reviewed, along with the implementation of efficient mechanisms to address these issues in a way that maintains the required financial equilibrium.
The ministers stressed the necessity of ongoing collaboration to maximise the use of available financial resources and improve the profitability of state-owned companies, ultimately contributing to national economic growth.
