Egypt Mobile Subscriptions Up 19% In March

Egypt’s ministry of communications has said mobile phone subscriptions in the country climbed 19% to 112.67 million in March 2012, compared with the previous year, putting mobile penetration at 113% in a population of 82 million, Ahram has reported.

The number of internet users also rose 28% to 31 million, the ministry said. Internet penetration is now at 38% of the population, it said.
