Egypt is exploring the possibility of establishing a Russian industrial zone in Egypt, marking a step to bolster the growing bilateral trade ties between the two countries.
On the sidelines of the Egyptian-Russian official joint committee meetings which is being taken place between 23 and 26 March in Moscow, Egypt’s Trade, Industry and Investment Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour has discussed with his Russian counterpart Denis Manturov the proposed Russian industrial zone in Egypt project.
The Egyptian minister is also conducting a series of discussions with his Russian counterpart and officials from the Russian investment fund in addition to a number of major Russian companies especially in the field of Gas exploration, energy and infrastructure.
The aim of those talks is to encourage Russian investments in the Egyptian market.
