Egypt nets $117.2 mln property taxes in 10 months
Egypt had collected 2.1 billion Egyptian pounds ($117.2 million) worth of property taxes in the first 10 months of the year, Real Estate Taxation Authority head said on Tuesday.
“We are seeking to collect real estate taxes worth up to 5.8 billion pounds at the end of the current year,” Samia Hussein said.
The authority is still receiving requests to pay the property taxes in installments, Hussein said.
“The installment option is available for all the citizens even those who have not yet filled their tax returns,” she said.
