Egypt, OECD join forces to strengthen budgetary framework

Egypt’s Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), launched the country’s medium-term budgetary framework (MTBF).

A series of workshops held in November brought together representatives from 29 ministries to discuss and refine the framework for the fiscal years 2025/2026 to 2028/2029.

The Ministry of Finance is leading this initiative to enhance Egypt’s fiscal strategy and its medium-term sectoral priorities, according to its statement.
