Egypt offers EGP 50b in T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Thursday offered a total of 50 billion Egyptian pounds in two treasury bills auctions, according to a CBE statement on its website.
This auction offers investors two options for investing in government debt with varying maturities.
Investors can choose between:
182-day T-bills: offering an investment of 30 billion pounds with an issue date of April 23rd, 2024, maturing on October 22nd, 2024.
364-day T-bills: offering an investment of 20 billion pounds with an issue date of April 23rd, 2024, maturing on April 22nd, 2025.
The CBE likely releases details on the accepted bids and weighted average yields on their website after the auction concludes.
