Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, met with Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb to discuss joint programmes and projects aimed at bolstering bilateral relations, as per an Egyptian Cabinet statement on Wednesday.
The meeting also reviewed outcomes of the 11th D-8 Organisation for Economic Cooperation Summit hosted by Egypt last year.
Al-Mashat reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to fostering South-South and trilateral cooperation, emphasising that collaboration among countries with shared economic and social conditions can drive development through the exchange of successful policies and practices.
She highlighted Egypt’s inclusive growth efforts and ongoing economic reforms, particularly in infrastructure development, while noting that existing development gaps offer significant investment opportunities to attract private sector participation and development financing.
