Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty discussed the critical situation in Gaza and the West Bank with Hussein Al-Sheikh, secretary-general of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), amid ongoing Israeli escalation.

During a phone call, Abdel Aty received a comprehensive briefing from Al-Sheikh on the severe deterioration in the West Bank and Gaza, highlighting Israel’s continued violations and humanitarian abuses against the Palestinian people.

The Egyptian minister also reviewed Egypt’s ongoing coordination with Qatar to secure a ceasefire, stabilise the truce, and advance negotiations on the second phase of the agreement.
