An Egyptian General Authority for Investment (GAFI) delegation headed by chairman Mohamed Khodair is heading to Rwanda to attend Global African Investment Summit on Monday.
The summit will be held in Kigali on the 5 – 6 September, under the high patronage of Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame and in partnership with COMESA.
TGAIS – COMESA Rwanda will gather together 1,000 government officials, international investors and private sector business leaders to ask ‘How the private sector can help realise the aspiration of the world’s largest single market?’.
The programme agenda will address three key areas; developing trade and investment corridors in the Tripartite Free Trade Area (TFTA), a proposed African free trade agreement between the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Southern African Development Community (SADC) and East African Community (EAC).
It will also address means to attract investment and private sector players to enhance the physical infrastructure to facilitate the movement of goods and persons; and creating an environment that enables harmonisation through policy and regulation.
