Egypt’s Strategic Warehouses for Medical Products and Devices (SWMP) signed a memorandum of understanding with US-based EVARA Group on Sunday to launch field studies for establishing a company focused on the transportation and treatment of medical waste, the Cabinet said.
The initiative aims to align with the latest environmentally friendly global standards and support growth in Egypt’s healthcare sector in line with Egypt Vision 2030. SWMP is a subsidiary of the Egyptian Unified Procurement Authority (UPA).
On the sidelines of the signing, the EVARA delegation and their technical partner, Saudi Software Makers, visited the Strategic Warehouses Company in the New Administrative Capital, praising Egypt’s infrastructure and logistics capabilities.
Representatives from EVARA, Saudi Software Makers, the Egyptian Medical Investment Company, and DAF also held meetings to explore cooperation in digital transformation and the development of medical digital systems to support Egypt’s healthcare sector.
