Egypt and Poland are seeking to deepen civil aviation ties, including expanding flights to Egyptian tourist destinations, Egypt’s civil aviation ministry said on Monday.
Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny met Polish Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak on the sidelines of the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) 42nd Assembly. The talks covered technical training, infrastructure development and potential joint aviation projects.
El-Hefny said Egypt was keen to broaden cooperation with Poland, highlighting aviation’s role in driving economic growth and tourism. Klimczak praised Egypt’s airport modernisation efforts and called it a leading destination for Polish travellers.
The Polish minister congratulated Egypt on its election to ICAO’s Council under Category II and voiced hope for Cairo’s support in Poland’s bid for Category III membership.
