The Egyptian Space Agency CEO Sherif Sedky participated in the 40th International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment (ISRSE-40), held at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, UK, on March 17-21, 2025.
Sedky took part in a high-level panel discussion on the strategic role of Earth observation technologies in sustainable development, focusing on SDG 17, which promotes global partnerships, according to a Cabinet statement.
He highlighted Egypt’s efforts to integrate space technologies into sustainable development plans and environmental management while stressing the importance of international collaboration in disaster response and resource management.
This year’s ISRSE conference is organised in partnership with key British institutions, including Farnborough International, Space South Central, and the International Committee on Remote Sensing of Environment (ICORSE), aiming to foster innovation and address global challenges such as climate change and natural resource management.
