Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly has directed his Cabinet to move quickly on implementing agreements signed with Jordan, turning them into actionable programmes aimed at boosting trade, investment, and joint development projects.
At a Wednesday Cabinet meeting in the New Administrative Capital, Prime Minister Madbouly said the effort is designed to “consolidate cooperation frameworks” and deliver tangible benefits for both countries. The instruction follows his visit to Amman last week for the 33rd Egyptian-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee, where he held what he described as “highly productive” talks with Jordanian Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan.
The prime minister also commended President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s key messages during his meeting with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, emphasising cooperation in managing the Nile Basin, Egypt’s opposition to unilateral actions in the Eastern Nile, and backing development in Uganda and other Nile Basin nations.
